PLANK ON PLY

Plank on ply is the best method in which to install timber floors.
The process is (as shown in the diagram to the right):

• The 12mm plywood is glued and T-Nailed to the concrete
• Then the timber is glued and pinned to the plywood.

The Benefits:

• Plywood is a better sub straight to fix the timber to.
• The timber can be square dressed (no tongue and grove) which means you get the entire thickness for sanding life.
• The timber is pinned at every 400mm which results in a better fixing.

STAIRS

The method of installing steps is:

• Plywood is leveled and fixed to the front of the step
• Levelling compound is poured on the step to create a flat surface.
• Plywood is fixed to the top of the step.
• Timber veneer is fixed to the front of the step.
• A nosing and timber is fixed to the top of the step.
